2022 AWARDS BANQUET

​

The Burroughs Girls Basketball Program held its 2021-2022 season banquet on April 29th to honor its student athletes.  Seniors Noor Fahs and Hailey Dowthwaite received senior achievement plaques.  Fahs received the prestigious Brian Hurst Award as well as the Academic Letterman Award.

2021-2022 PACIFIC LEAGUE HONORS​

 

Several players from the 2021-2022 season received Pacific League Recognition this past season.

  • First Team All League - Noor Fahs

  • First Team All League - Isabella Roderick

  • 2nd Team All League - Ivana Razov

  • Honorable Mention - Rachel Little 

2021-2022 SEASON RECAP​

 

The Burroughs girls finished the season with a record of 22-7 and 6-1 in league play.  Competing in the tough CIF 2AA Division, the girls advanced to the second round after beating Flintridge Prep on senior night.  The team fell to the #6 ranked team in the division, Rolling Hills Prep.  The team was led this season by senior Noor Fahs and junior Isabella Roderick.  Noor averaged 11.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 2.4 assists per game.  Isabella averaged 12.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 2.3 assists per game.  Junior Ivana Razov started at the point averaging 2.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds while junior Rachel Little averaged 5.9 points and 2.1 rebounds.  Sophomore Ashley Martin contributed 3.2 points and 3.1 rebounds as a starter.

BURROUGHS PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY

Members of the Burroughs Girls Basketball Program will have a mutual commitment towards giving their best effort, applying self-discpline, upholding respect and integrity, giving support and encouragement, and displaying loyalty as they represent themselves, the Girls Basketball Program, and John Burroughs High.

Our mission is to develop quality people who commit and hold themselves to high expectations and standards as they strive to become the best they can be.  We believe that our commitment to effort and giving our personal and team best will translate into building a winning program.  Players and coaches will pledge to demonstrate these qualities on a daily basis because we are "All for Burroughs".
